Jesse, an American writer, and Celine, a French woman, meet on a train from Budapest to Vienna. Although they are attracted to each other, their connection remains confined to that brief encounter. Nine years later, Jesse, who is in France for the promotion of his new book, manages to meet Celine in Paris just moments before his flight departs. They spend a couple of hours wandering through the streets of Paris, discussing the things they never had the chance to talk about and growing closer. Richard Linklater's internationally acclaimed film is yet another journey into the nature of human relationships, a trademark of the writer/director. Its intelligent dialogues mesmerize the audience.
