Quentin Dupieux, the master of pushing the boundaries of reality in comedy films, premiered his latest work at the Directors' Fortnight section of Cannes Film Festival. The film introduces us to Georges, a bizarre anti-hero who never takes off his leather jacket and is incredibly unstable, obsessed, and psychopathic. Georges, who wants his leather jacket to be the only one left in the world and readily succumbs to madness, takes us on a journey that starts off as a cunning dark comedy. Just as we expect from Dupieux, "Deri Ceket" (Leather Jacket) evolves into an absurd snuff murder film filled with peculiar characters and unimaginable situations, completely detached from predictability.
